Are pleuro's the only active channa?

Is it true that pleuro's are the only active channa? I read that from one of the sticky's up top.

i never keep obscura before. what i can say its not very active and spend most of it time hiding.

i think reds are quite active as well....mine never stop swimming frm end to end when the lights are on

yeah...sometimes im worried abt the concussions they might have due to constant headbutting the front glass when they c me near the tank

I have a 16" Obscura. spaends alot of its time hovering mid water. Confidence has an effect, When he was small enough to be bothered by other larger fish he would hide.

pleuros seem to be the only channa that is constantly active/swimming when full grown , micros spend much time sitting on the bottom when fully grown allthough very active when young , obscura is the same they tend to just hang out mid water when older ,

most channa are pretty active when younger but activity slows right down as they grow

i would say pleuro is the only channa that actually chooses to swim about constantly when adult
