Are pleuro's the only active channa?

i think reds are quite active as well....mine never stop swimming frm end to end when the lights are on

obscura seem to want to hide a lot when young if they don't feel secure in their environment. from my experience if you add plenty of hiding places and lots of floating plants they will swim more and prefer to hang up top in the plants.
