i HAVE 3, and 2 of the 3 will actually jump out of the tank and have dinner with the family at the table, very odd IMO..

Great. Do they help clean the dishes after supper is over?

My male is really owner responsive..... but occasionally will hide out in his flowerpot. The female on the other hand is rather shy by herself but will swim around confidently if kept with the male.... had to separate them bc the male was "Ike Turner-ing" her!

My experience - In a big community tank - owner responsive and would beg for food.
- In a big tank (pair) - owner responsive especially when breeding or with fry
- In a small tank (pair) - would come out to eat but usually hides after
- In a small tank by itself (male or female) - would only eat when I'm not seen

I went ahead and got a 5 inch red tiger motag male which was wild caught (when very tiny) from the Rio Copan in Honduras. He is really quite outgoing so far. I gotta get him fattened up a good bit though.

He'll eat like a pig, so it shouldn't take too long to fatten him up.
