Are sharks illegal in California?

Permits are odd sometimes. I've had several issued to me personally without even blinking. At the same time I've done permit work for big facilities that have been denied - and they were for very common things.

I love in cali I have a Lepoard shark and Nurse shark. You can own a lepoard shark if it is bought by a LF from Mexico. It just can't be caught in local waters.

But you need to have proof of legal collection, legal import etc...

Just a question but where do you keep a shark on Camp Pendelton? Also would lemons even survive if it some how escaped the waters out here are pretty cold I would think it would have a hard time surviving in a non native environment.

Base Houseing the tank is kept in the garage. Tanks to big to be placed any where else.

Lemons can live through some cold water. They see low 50F here every year.

Here I forgot all about the married Marines, I was thinking I have found some weird crap in a wall locker after a health and comfort but a shark would take the cake.
