Are shrimp ok for Dovii??

I threw in some raw shrimp into my Dovii tank the other night and my Dovii attacked it,he is 4 inches and ate over half of a large shrimp,is this ok or am i harming my prized Dovii??

its a good food and will and enhance the pinks and purples.

I feed shrimp to all of my preds as a staple.

very good mine guys love it they get it like a treat its good to vary there diet fight's off diease ive heard of lizard and full grown mice big ones prob eat baby ducks in the wild like muskie

I also feed shrimp as a main food to my oscar, dorado, midas, and jag. Cheap, healthy, clean, and filling.
I buy it frozen at Wal-mart. The medium size bag, 60-80 raw, frozen shrimp per bag for $3.98.
Unthaw in warm water, peel and your ready to feed. You can also de-vein(de-turd) the shrimp if you like, but I don't find it necessary.

agreed. that is the main thing i feed other than pellets. i assume that all fish like shrimp, even my silver dollars enjoy shrimp from time to time

it would funny as hell if someone not only peeled but depooped the shrimp before feeding it to his fish... thats going to far!

Shrimps is really good for predatory cichlids! But keep in mind that you should feed variety! Use fish and insects of different kinds to! Crickets are a favourite!

I feed all my fish shrimp from platies- my arowana they love it and have great colour.
