So I want to buy a Silver Arowana and my dog will go swimming in the pond, will the Arowana bite? Also what about these fish? Will they bite humans or dogs?:

Red Tail Catfish
Pacu
Electric Yellow Cichlid
Leichardti Arowana (variant of the Jardini Arowana)
Cyphotilapia Frontosa
Asian Arowana
Paroon Shark

the redtail maybe but im sure the rest of them would be ok as long as you dont have a teacup type of dog lol xD

I LOLD :D

No he is a Labrador, will Redtail bite full grown Labs? He is a bit bigger than your usual lab, not because he is fat though, he is more like the size of a Golden Retriever. According to TLKmDN some fish in his pond will bite humans, and his pond includes Silver Arowana, Redtails and Paroons. Maybe he was just talking about his alligator gar.

Are there any type of popular aquarium fish that are dangerous to large dogs or humans?

If you fall in it will be like a scene from Jaws :grinno: jk

Should be fine unless the RTC is huge, then I might watch it

Hmm, I heard RTC don't have teeth, wouldn't that make them harmless? Will it just be dangerous to my lab when fully grown or to both of us?

^ Yea I was saying that if it were a huge RTC, like "River Monsters esq" that could technically swallow the dog but this of course is rare and the dog is big anyway so I wouldnt worry about it. Now if I had a huge RTC in a pond and one of those teacup dogs swimming with it then I might be a little concerned.

You should get a goonch and a gator gar :D

I think it will be fine, I've been bitten but a decent sized (not huge) arowana, it's more surprising than anything, and I don't think it would deliberately bite. I've never heard of RTC's biting swimmers either.

the silver arowana will torpedo you! so watch out! jk jk. but i have been bit by my silver aro and it did leave a little bite mark with a wee bit of blood.
