I have caught gar using sunnies for bait. With the Barrumundi and spotted gar you will probably want to avoid the smaller fancy plecos, other than that you should have no problems. Some plecos like some loaches will suck on slime coats but as stated before most fish just swim away.
Are spotted gar and pleco compatible??

Oooo... thanks, so any suggestion of what kind of pleco should i get??
And my pair of temensis died yesterday for no apparent reasons, they were perfectly alright, no sign of any illness.... reallly got me wonder.... they are reared from about 3 inches to now 6-7 inches.... oh man, really sad that they just leave me like that...
now in my tank, left only 1 spotted gar, 1 barrumundi and 1 senegal bichir....
