Are STs breeding in captivity now?

Big mystery as to why they cant reproduce in capitivity. maybe its the ph, temp, ... Who knows.

But i can tell u this, if the indo dat was rare & extinct in the wild like the ST, prices & demand will sky rocket too.

There is no mystery. It was explained in that thai documentary (search forum and you'll find it). They lay eggs in deep, clear water. Any tank is too shallow and pools are not clean enough. Regardless, people on this site like to speculate just to hear themselves talk.

I started watching it & when it started talking in thai, i closed it. Ima go watch it now. How many St u hav?
 
The thing that gets me is that some pretty interesting things have been acheived in Asia as far as breeding and genetics and all kinds of hybridizations but no success with these fish.

That may be the case here, but it some country, all it takes is to block out a portion of the river, and they have a breeding facility.
