I have a Syno. Eupterus that had been sharing a tank 'til recently with some African Cichlids. It's about 7 inches long. It kept fighting with the cichlids over the caves and was always a little beat-up from it. Now it's alone in the tank with just some baby jack dempseys and bristlenose plecos.
It's coming out a lot more now and we just look at each other.
And I'm noticing it has little bumps all over its head. Is it ich or is it this fish's normal skin texture? They seem to be in a regular pattern on the top part of the face from the mouth to where the top fin starts, with fewer down the sides. The fish is acting as normal as these guys act (LOL!) and doesn't seem to be feeling sick or itchy.
