Are there African Cichlids in the wild in the U.S.A.

I never knew there were so many here. I always hear about people releasing stuff but never hear about someone catching big oscars or pacu. I have never seen any cichlids in the wild but I definitly plan on it.

We have Black Frontosa (or it could be compared to a Dat) here, they are called Sheephead, Sheepshead . Mainly found in salt water, someone brought one in they caught in a net from a freshwater area.
Makes great crab meat substitute for stuffings.
