I agree rebel , I was thinking they were xiphophorus maculatus at first but them being so young I couldn't be positive thanks again for all your help ,you guys kick bass
No I don't collect the livebearers in Minnesota. But the wild-type platies are often found in the feeder guppy shipments since most feeder guppies came from Florida which have a feral populations of random livebearers. That is how I get mine from the feeder tanks at a LFS. You can find lot of random cool things in the feeder tanks if you look more closely.
Just for your information, they are likely be Xiphophorus variatus since that is what I have. But I won't be surprised if you have a swordtail fry mixed in your guppies/platies. Happened to me few times when I get some young platies out of the feeder guppy tanks.
