hello i was wondering if anyone could point me to a easy to take care of freshwater plant for my new 75g thank you so much

java fern is almost impossible to kill i have found, java moss is a nice easy plant and most vals are pretty simple to grow .jungle vals look great when they grow to the top off the tank.

if you go to petco they have these betta bulbs and its just these seeds and i put um in thought it wouldnt work, welll they thrived and i didnt even do anything one of them even spawned mini plants of it self which i found floating at the top and between two of them they made 7!

Anacharis, I don't know if it gets easier.

Frogbits leaves need to surface like a lily.

I have found Anubias are almost indestuctible.

Anubias, java ferns, java moss, anacharis (both species), some vals, amazon swords, hornwort, duckweed, najas grass, cryptocorynes and aponogetons all are easy, and low light.

anubias sp., nana in particular, is very tough and very hardy but it is relatively slow growing and elodea densa which is an invasive species in some countries, read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egeria_densa and http://www.ecy.wa.gov/Programs/wq/plants/weeds/egeria.html, so check and make sure it isnt banned where you are. very good for grazing fish as it grows extremely fast but you do need multiple bunches.

another thing about anubias is you may need to clean the algae off the leaves unless you have ottos as plecs damage the leaves while going after the algae on them. algae accumulqates due to the slow growing nature of the plant and its thick waxy leaves provide an ideal surface.
