Try letting you bichir close to the glass and put the ruler or any measurement equipment right next to it.

Why feed it weather loaches? Those are cool fish in thier own right. That would be like feeding polys to a giant catfish.

Yes I know they are cool fish, but the reason I feed them weather loaches as it maximize the growth of my bichirs. Ever since I feed them to my bichirs they just grow rapidly and not get stunted. They expensive feeders, but I would rather have my fish grow to it's almost maximum potential than get stunted and only get up to half their wild maximim size.

I stop feeding them weather loaches once they get up to their potential length to save me some money for my future bichirs grow up.
