i would check your local fishing, guide if they are there because someone released them then theres a problem...you dont want them to wipe out ur native fish population.

No disrespect but are you possative that is what you caught do you have any pictures ? convicts are very small cichlids as are firemouths.

But if they are what you say they are there not native to australia and you should infact report them to your local fish & wildlife authoritys

you really need to report that you found them type of ciclids there...

i find it very hard to believe you caught all these different cichlids which aren't native in a lake, if it was a small dam maybe but if its a huge lake i highly doubt it! The only one you may catch is a tilapia but even that would be rare!

Whats the name of the "lake" and how big is it?
