They look to have been crossed with a EBJD and a paratilapia polleni???
LOL.

They are EBJDs, for sure. There are always slight colour/pattern variations. In any case, JDs and Polleni are certainly too genetically different to hybridise.

The lighting may be contributing to these guys looking a little strange. They look to be ebjds to me, but the pictures seem to have kind of a reddish or pinkish cast to them. I can also vouch for Hollywood's stock.

That guy is, or was, one of the biggest piranha breeders in the US.

He seems to be now focusing on blue dempsey's

those look like nice fish

My gut told me they do not look like Polleni's but they seemed to have the same height/shape and pattern, but in blue as polleni's.

Sure, the fish in question looks like an EBJD/polleni hybrid, but direct hybridization between these two species is impossible. Not only are the species in different genus's (otcofasciatum/rocio and paratilapia), but they hail from entirerly different continents (Central America and Africa). If there ever was gene flow between the two fish, it has been erradicated by New World speciation and a genetic barrier we call "The Atlantic Ocean".

Looks like a cross between an EBJD and a severum. They have that tall severum body.

I knew I should of gone with my gut. Bad move Mystix.

They're just fat, and the light tank conditions washes them out. EBJD's all the way.

Wern't Hollywoods fish originally the one's Ormed used for his breeding?
