yup NLS is a High Quality pellets...thats what i used to get my umbee the great green, blue and purple to red colors on mines...=] loving it...and so is he...lol

I use Omega One and it is good, along with NLS.

I like Omega One food a lot and it's most of what I have. Only downside is the pellets are harder than most brands.

Anyone ever use Aqueon Cichlid Sticks: http://www.aqueonproducts.com/products/cichlid-sticks.htm ?

I picked some up but they were hella expensive (11 bucks for 5.8oz) It took a while before my fish would even eat them, but I cut everything else out of their diet and fed em a few pellets everyday until they got hungry enough to eat em. Once they started though they love em now, all my fish have great color.
