Are these Peacock Bass sick?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I went to have a look at these guys in real life I asked the previous owner if he could feed them just to see if they were eating, he told me he didn't have any food to feed them with . Obviously neglected I couldn't bare to watch these guys suffer anymore so I took them home. So far they have ignored all foods I have tried feeding them (prawns, frozen bloodworm, pellets), I resorted to live feeders as a final option which they are eating. I'll post some pictures in the near future hopefully when they are more healthy.

That really is sad. Glad you saved them from starvation and neglect. Good luck and please update us. I would love to see it end with healthy aggressive P Bass pics.

So glad you rescued those little guys! I hope they make it! My boyfriend's ex had his baby pbass for like a month before we got them back from her and they looked a lot like yours, but even smaller and paler. We didn't think they were going to make it, but they did! Now they are thriving! Like you, we had to resort to feeders and are currently in the process of weening them...which has been tricky to say the least. They may be a little smaller than they would have been had they not been neglected for a month, but we have no doubt that they will reach full size and will be healthy and gorgeous! Best of luck with yours!!!
