Are These Red Belly Piranhas?

RBPiranhas are usually silver when Juvies. RBPacu are usually red like the ones pictured. I've noticed the anal fin on the Pacu has a hook to it.

pacu eyes in alignment with mouth, red belly eyes are above the mouth.

Those are Pacus. Piranhas have extended lower jaws. Pacus are related to Piranhas but they're not carnivorous. Most books say they're herbavores by nature, but I've seen them eat goldfish. Pacus get HUGE while Piranhas are a manageable size for aquariums.
