Ditto...I had one of these whiter silvers about 7 years ago. The whitest I'd ever seen. Loved that fish!
 
I still seeing some form of redness on the edge of the finnages. I dont think they are true platinum for I work with a true platinum silver for some years.
 
I heard they "bleach" aros to attempt to recreate the platinum affect. Usually using silvers as they dont cost as much if they die in the process.

two platinums? and there not 60k? probably not true platinum. alot of breeders try to recreate the "platinumness" with various techniques.
 
not platinum my silver is almost as white

I think you are correct. There were tanks full of fish there that they injected
some kind of die to make fancy colors on the fish. So I guess they could
inject a bleaching agent or dip the fish in it to lighten the color, but it still
doesn't turn it pure white.

White barbels are a a good indication that it's not normal.
