Bruce you can house mono and ocell longer than you can house tems due to the fact that tems are one of the biggest species of cichla you would be better off with monos or ocell.

Yes that is a valid point, i wont be picking them up untill they are about 4" anyways.

when they arent stressed dont look like tems but as i was moving them in bags they had a full bar through the body and vertical stripes. Parhaps they are too young to tell. They are between 1-1.5". Just ne picture for now, more later

tems at 1.5 inches are much more slender and the horizontal stripe is very visible.
