are these true altums?

Hi Robb, they are lovely fish, but as everybody else says, they are one of the Scalare variants. The Altum (there is only one) has wider bars, smaller scales and a larger eye. It is as far as I am aware, only exported by Columbia at the present time (Venezuela has export regs that cannot be met) There are some tank bred fish that turn up sporadically, they all appear to be descended from the Horste Linke fish from Germany.
