Maybe its all in my head, but it seems a couple of hours after a water change, and the stress from the water change alleviates, my fish seems more lively. I only check water parameters every few months or so, but I do a 50% w/c every 4th day otherwise, I feel my fish are living in filth.....like I said, probably all in my head.
