He's not aggressive at all just very food responsive. I can toss a cricket at him when he's at the surface and he'll snap and grab it before it even hits the water.

Is there anything wrong with keeping them on live. I'me having a hell of a time getting them to eat other things.

If you mean goldfish they are a poor choice to feed. Even rosey reds aren't that great.

my gar are very aggressive. only the big guys eats worms though. he pushes them around them when they wiggles alot he grabs them. its awesome. i feed alot of live things. if you want to keep them on live give a huge variety.
