more type B than A, I don't have any tanks big enough to consult an engineer yet and i could give a damn less what the majority of my fishes scientific names are

i feel the two catagories are too specific in order for people to fit in either one or the other.

I agree!

However, I was afraid if I gave people a "C" option (both A & B) it wouldn't be as interesting - people would take the easy choice rather than deciding on one or the other. :D

never test my water, but I do change it often and over filter, buy based off of availability at the LFS. I am willing to try new things, but for purchases I do plan ahead and try to do my homework. I don't like buying something then getting home and realized I got a POS heater or crappy pump, filter etc.
so bottom line, before hand I plan
after wards I react.
Just like everyone else.

i chose type-A but to be perfectly honest, I would be a fishkeeper that is BETWEEN type-A and type-B.

Definately a type A for me. I research fish that I don't even plan to keep and probably will never attempt (e.g payara). Unfortunately I am a tad sloppier when researching equipment.

B except for the fact that I research the equipment I buy, although I tend to buy knockoffs cause Im cheap but I buy the ones that get good reviews atleast.
