Do you think you are becoming a better fish keeper? What do you do to improve your fish keeping skills?

YES.
First and formost I read about aquarium keeping & fish constanly.
2nd I am always looking and trying new technics. I try to get in depth about any subject wether it relates to what I am doing at that given time or not. I incorporate what I like and think about how to improve what is existing. It never ends but the results always seem to get better.

What do you do to improve your fish keeping skills?

More water changes :D

Well thats the main thing I have learnt. Other than that, better feeding, better filtration etc.
All combines to make healthier fish :headbang2

Resources like this have so much info / ideas, some I will never use, but many ideas I have taken on board and my fish are happier for it.

Cheers

Ian

I'm not keeping fish at the moment, but I imagine w/ the help of this site I'll be better than I've been in the past. Most of my success was by accident in the past.

I've learned so much about fishkeeping over the last couple of years. When I first started fishkeeping, I knew nothing about water testing and water changes. I thought that all I had to do was feed the fish everyday and clean the tank when it get dirty. I'm by no means an expert in fishkeeping, but I'm a way better fishkeeper than when I first started.

yes, by far!

I hadn't keep fish for almost twenty years. There are quit a few changes, new equipment, and chemicals to do about everything. I have learned to take advantage of the better equipment, but that the old stand-bys are still good. Use natural things to fix problems. Most important, be proactive instead of reactive. There are some great resources on this site. You can't help but get better.

Yes 100%

-Read the forums constantly

-Don't be afraid to ask questions (even if sometimes they might be silly questions to an experienced keeper...) - After all it's kind of expected by us noobs...

The internet is the greatest learning resource available, all the real expert's available to us on this forum, I don't see how anyone who uses this site could not improve/expand their skills...

MFK is priceless
