Interesting and I see your point.I have crushed coral substrate in my 180 that has been there since the tank was set up for African cichlids. The tank mainly houses characins now and I really want to change the substrate to something darker.vfc;4006370; said:I am very happy with all my tanks now. All fish are healthy, stocking levels balanced, equipment working, and tanks decorated to my liking.
I do most of my "tinkering" during the winter months. I usually plan to wrap up any changes before March ends. This allows me to change my focus to outside activities and not have to worry about any unfinished aquarium business.
From April to the end of October, my tanks will take a lower priority (feeding and maintenance only). The craziness starts all over again around November 1st.
because a 5-6 foot gator(captive max) can eat the others. lol.krichardson;4006582; said:/\ Why exclude the Gator?

Yep,I'd agree that that's a good enough reason.I'm not much of a gar guy at the moment.Had one some years back but back then I did'nt know there were soo many different species and don't remember which one mine was.Lepisosteus platyrhincus;4006635; said:because a 5-6 foot gator(captive max) can eat the others. lol.
