Are you prepared?

A world leader is shot, violent protests erupt in major cities...

A super Volcano erupts...

A coordinated terror attack knocks out major infrastructure (power plants, water supplies, etc)...

World super powers lob nuclear war heads at each other...

I got to thinking today about all of the people I know and how we as Americans are totally reliant on other people. Its kind of scary how easy it would be to send a nation back to the stone age.

If the SHTF (the poo hits the fan) I am afraid that the VAST MAJORITY of Americans couldnt last more then a week.

What would you do with out power for your fridge or stove? Water coming out of the tap? Gas for your car or heat? Cellphones...?

Do you and your family have a disaster preparedness plan? If so what is it like and how long would you last? I know the above "dooms day scenarios" are totally different and would require different tactics but in general. Personally I think me and my family could go a month tops with out having to leave and look for necessities.

Oh and forget about saving your fish here, I am talking about a scenario so bad that you will be looking at that pacu as dinner before you know it!

Yum, squirrel! I could easily hunt and fish for awhile but I think living close to a major city like I do, everything would be eaten in no time. I do want to learn how to grow a simple garden though.
