The main reason I got it was because of my little one. Obviously, we should all protect ourselves anyways, but having children makes you think about things like this.

On a lighter note, one of the firemen told me I should turn off my tank filters because he was afraid the surface agitation would introduce carbon monoxide into the tank and kill my fish.. So my fish were safe..lol.

Glad you are ok!!! Ive got one myself, love how the fireman knew the water info...lol

And then the plumber who was in my house today quoting me for a new furnace stood in front of each one of my tanks and asked me tons of questions about my fish. In the last week, strangers have showed more interest in my fish than my wife and friends ever have...lol.

Glad you're safe! Good investment! What is wrong with your furnace? If it is only 5 years old the whole thing shouldn't need to be replaced. Some furnaces even come with a very long warranty on the burner assembly and firebox. Up to 10 years! Make sure the exhaust vent is OK too. A new furnace won't cure a bad exhaust!

I like the way the firefighter thinks.

On a different note, living in a former motel next to a gas station that is frequented by hobos and thugs makes me feel oh so safe going to class....

I have 2 in the house one on the main floor and one in the furnace room....but I am always nervous since my room shares a wall with the furnace
