are you suppose to feed pleco's

Just last night I fed my 2 plecos half a pumpkin after I tookthe seeds out of course. They loved it! Once they found it they didnt leave till it was all gone. They love veggies, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, and such. Just try new things see what they will eat! Tonight a peach is on the menu for them!

I have 2 common plecos and a L-200 greenphantom (newly acquired) in my tank they get an algae wafer everyday and whatever else the cichlids dont eat (sinking pellets or flakes they miss, and maybe small particles of beefheart). Is this good they are all about 3-4 inches. And how long before i should start feeding shrimp?

now? see if they take it. id give them some fresh veggies, keep the roughage up, and probably some bogwood aswell if you dont already have it.

I agree with davo, all those, plus start offering spirulina for the L200. It will help intesify his colors. Offer this after you have fed the other tank inhabitants.
