If you use API Melafix, stop throwing money away. The product works great for injuries and also some bacterial infections, but the dosage is so high that it costs me $8 to dose my 55 for three days. It's just not cost effective for Monster tanks.

My discovery: The same company makes the same product in their Pond Care line, and it is super concentrated. ONE TEASPOON treats 50 gallons. It definitely is more concentrated, I just dosed a tank and I smell like eucalyptus big time. The bottle was $14.99, and looks to be twice the size of the bottle I buy at walmart for $6.49 It should last me a few months if not longer.

gud 2 no!

gud lookin out

The pondcare product treats 4800 gallons.

I've been using the same bottle of the pond stuff for about a year:)

Yea the pond bottle and the normal bottle are the same size and the same price, but different concentrations. I still tell people who buy it to set up a QT tank or tub so that they don't use as much as they would if they were treating the whole pond or tank.
