great tip. Is melafix suppose to be a Top of the line med? I havent had the need to use it yet or read much about it. Is that the one that stains silicone blue?

yes it's great stuff to treat torn fins, cuts, scrapes, etc.........and no it will not stain silicone thats the ick tratment known as malchin (sp?) green or quick fix!!:)

You're referring to Malachite Green and Methylene Blue, both will stain decor, Melafix will not. It's a great healing product, but I have found it's antibacterial properties to be weak.

I think I'm going to try that next time i need to medicate a tank. Does pimafix come like that too.

petsmart only price matches their own price online not other peoples online price.

I have price matched to big als and drs foster and smith several times. I think it depends on the mood of the store manager. If you're nice about it generally they'll do it:) (around here anyway)

cheers ewurm good shout out. now rally isn't as smug laughing at all us suckers from a far lol

so EWURM if you buy the 64oz bottle of "aquarium" melafix its the same as the pond (meaning its as concentrated as the pond stuff)

If it says Pondcare on it it is.
