great tip. Is melafix suppose to be a Top of the line med? I havent had the need to use it yet or read much about it. Is that the one that stains silicone blue?

yes it's great stuff to treat torn fins, cuts, scrapes, etc.........and no it will not stain silicone thats the ick tratment known as malchin (sp?) green or quick fix!!

You're referring to Malachite Green and Methylene Blue, both will stain decor, Melafix will not. It's a great healing product, but I have found it's antibacterial properties to be weak.

I have price matched to big als and drs foster and smith several times. I think it depends on the mood of the store manager. If you're nice about it generally they'll do it (around here anyway)

No I am trying to say that the 64 oz bottle of "aquarium" melafix is more concentrated then the 16oz bottle they say that the 64oz bottle will treat 19000 gallons.. that what I meant so you can buy the aquarium stuff as concentrate too.. sorry I didnt mean to sound like I was asking a ?????
