Are your vieja scared of the surface?

My Zonatus is already jumping out of the water for the pellets as soon as they're dropped into the tank.

My argentea stays clear of the surface, of coarse thats cause there are four 27" plus arowana cruising that part of the tank. Feeding time though he'll be right up there getting his share.

I can kind of relate. I don't have vieja but for whatever reason my 2 midas cichlids will not eat from the surface. They will dart up and then dive down and would much rather eat sinking foods. Yet my 2 cubans will eat from the surface. Even my skittish as hell silver dollars will eat from the surface.
