Aren’t Asian aro highly illegal

No **** sherlock.

Many of US fishkeepers who are more aware of the legalities would have noticed no mention of CITES either who have ever been shopping overseas and then see no mention of it. Its a fish nerd observation. ? even gigas are CITES schedule II lol still can bring them into the US tho enough importers here to do it instead of having to look overseas to even worry about it as its the importer doing CITES II paperwork.

Any fish on schedule I , like the Asian Aro thats guaranteed 100% CITES trail even if its capative bred, at the end of the day no matter where the chipped fish is in legally /illegally its still a CITES required fish at the end of the day.

Not sure why you are being so rude, and have such an attitude about this.

I was trying to point out a common tactic used by scammers or people selling them illegally that state that somehow it having a CITIES permit or the fish being chipped makes it legal in the US. I never said anything about it being a matter of concern anywhere else in the world.

I simply stated that regardless of a CITIES status, it being chipped, etc., it doesn't matter because there is nothing about any of that that would make this fish magically legal.

First of all, you were condescending on your first comment quoting mine dismissing my comment about not even CITES mentioned....

Like we dont know anything about asian aros being illegal here in the US

Second plenty of scammers out there put MORE effort into saying CITES registered / microchipped. My original comment was related to how lazy AF those scammers actually were being

This scam is very old and still around.

If as many people knew the exact legalities regarding Asian arowana, it wouldn't be a topic brought up as often as it is. Again, how would having a cities permit for a fish make it more believable when having a CITIES permit has no bearing on the legality of this fish.

It is a very old scam, and yet it continues to work, otherwise it would have stopped a long time ago. I agree with you ? that it was a lazy attempt, and my comment was to point out in terms of education that a CITIES permit means absolutely nothing in terms of making that fish legal in the US. Was nothing directed at you but rather dismissed any notion that a CITIES permit somehow changes it's legality in the United States.

This topic has been beaten to death half a million times and the same crap always comes up with a fish having a CITIES permit, and that some how making it legal in the United States. If you got offended over a CITIES permit not changing the legality of things in the United States being pointed out, that's on you. It was nothing personal or even remotely directed at you, but to each their own interpretation I guess.

Cheers ?
