Aren’t Fish Food Companies Required To Itemize Ingredients?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
But you can only spend so much time reading fish food labels; eventually, ya gotta buy a can of something and feed it to the fish...
So I have few trusted products and that's it. Something new comes along and, if I'm curious enough, I might check the labels to see if they meet my criteria, which they rarely do-- seems to me there are a lot of versions of basically the same cheap to middle of the road products.

they could probably eat dry rabbit turds rolled in vitamin powder, and somehow survive.

I knew this vicious rabbit of ours would finally come in useful. Which vitamin powder would you recommend RD. RD.

esoxlucius esoxlucius vitachem should work. Even better, for your carnivorous species, once he has you bleeding, soak the pellets as an added feed attractant!

Ok neutrino neutrino , now you have to spill the beans on your trusted products. Do tell 🤗

As a side note, has anyone else noticed that almost all of the veggie diet flakes & pellets for “herbivores” have krill and a variety of other fish meal additions, some of which appear first and therefore appear to be in greater quantities in the said food?
I wonder if piscatorial herbivores are like human children and need a little “ranch dressing” on their greens to make it palatable 🤣

I only use Alagemax pellets for all my herbivore cichlids. Northfin Veggie and their Kelp Flakes are pretty good too but most other brands adding the word veggie or herbivore feels more like a marketing strategy than anything else.
