Argentea or escondido

I own both... both from Rapps and I think they are both nice fish. I think I like the color of the Argentea a little more, but my Escondido seems to have more spunk to him. I don't think this is the same for all individual fish... you could get both and feel the exact opposite of me. Best of luck.

Carpintes are more fun to keep personality-wise. I had a few that were just so bold. They were always bold looking shiny and strong even though there were bigger dominant fish in the tank with them.

Carpintes look cool with the shiny blue pealrs all over.
Argenteas look elegant with the clean white silver.

Up to what you like. If You like both get both, since you are paying for the shipping anyway, then decide which to keep or sell at home if they cant go together.

Both are gorgeous. I've owned both and my experience was my Argentea was more out going than my Carpintis.

I would get ahold of americancichlids.net myself if I lived in Colorado. I've bought 40+ fish from them in 2010 and haven't been disappointed yet.

My vote would be an Escondito. Years ago I had one in a 100g. He would shuffle rocks around and hit glass everytime someone walked by. Tons of personality
