Argentea Rio Tulija

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey its better to give then receive, so send him this way. Lol, nice fish dude.

Do the Rio Tulija naturally have a darker color to them or is he just not settled in all the way yet?

I know they have a lot of the black freckling throughout the body compared to other strains (including one I've kept).

Here is my old male (guess) of a different unknown strain:

probably a bit of both, and additionally this tank is very dimly lit right now. I have a single 48" tube on the very far back side of the tank only covering the left hand side. The right hand side really has almost no light on it at all.

Once he really settles in and doesn't mind a lot of movement around the tank, I'll up the lighting and try some flash shots. All in all though they seem to have a lot more freckling which makes them a good bit darker and he has a lot of gold.

He's eating really well now, throwing back Xtreme big fella like popcorn. Really looking forward to getting him in the big tank now that he's eating.......patience

wow loving those darker colors, looking forward to him going in the big tank!

Thanks. It's gonna be real hard waiting it out, but he's become quite the little socialite. As long as you don't wear a white shirt(go figure) and move slow, he pretty much hangs out all the time. He's putting on some nice weight and his color is getting more intense. He's settling in nicely....
