I'll check back in when your able to update with more pictures, and I'll see if i'll be able to identify it for you then. If you can try looking to see whether it has 1 or 2 loreal scales. Its a pretty good method of identification.

deff looks columbian though. he'll stay much smaller but they need to be worked with more to ensure "tameness."
 
yea i think he is a columbian. oh well i still love him. and he is very chill and tame already. just huffs n puffs a little when i first pick him up.
very nice tegu citri. how big is he/she now?
i estimated my tegus size way wrong it is much larger than a foot. he is prob close to 18 inches
 
I'm quite certain your Tegu is a Columbian. You can refer to the links provided above and scale count, but I'm quite sure it's Columbian...

Columbians grow a lot slower than Arg and don't get quite as big. 2.5' for females and 3' for males I believe is typcial. They are also more prone to climbing and less prone to burrowing.

The hyper aggressive reputation of Columbian Tegus started years ago when all specimen were wild caught juvenals. While there are still plenty being imported, there are also a lot of people breeding them in the US. It seems the CBB or even wild bred/captive hatched specimen seem much less aggressive...

he doesn't really care for the linoleum but it keeps the poo off the neighbors below...
 
dude thats awesome! i hope my tegu gets at least 3ft. she/he is gobbling down eggs and turkey and grapes. threw in a dozen crickets but he/she was to full of egg
