Arghhh vacation!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've left my tanks alone for a full two weeks.. Worst part is evaporation. Gotta make sure the sump on my 150 has a lot of water before leaving. As stated earlier above, fish can go a longtime without food if they are healthy and in good water.

1) how long can aros survive without food-depends on how big they are, usually juvies don't do well without being fed at least once a day
2) how long can aros survive without oxygen-not long, maybe a day or two in a prestine water condition.
3) how long can aros survive without water change-if left in good water condition, would be good for maybe a week or so...

If your tank isn't " cycled good enough" as you say .. Then you should have any arowanas in there. It's either cycled or not.

+1, Using a very expensive to cycle a tank with :screwy:

relax man its just 4 days!!...
Adult aro's can go W/O food for a month!

Depends on size, 12"+ would be fine for over a week, probably several weeks.

2) how long can aros survive without oxygen
How long can you hold your breath?

3) how long can aros survive without water change (maintainance?
How big and heavily stocked is your tank?

A healthy adult aro in a well set up tank (not one of these overstocked "jdm" things) should be ok for a couple of weeks with out food. Be warned though, with predatory fish the hungrier they get the stronger that predatory instinct gets...
