bf, just do what i did. order your tank and when it arrives they cant do anything about it. my first tank was a 100gal lol. i remember my dad asking me maybe you can put it on a nice little coffee table, i just said...hmmm no it comes with a stand already. when it came it was up against the wall and my dad couldnt say anything because i had already bought it. so just do that, it works, trust me

One of the most stupid advice ever given here in the forum. Its a 13-year old for Pete's sake.

He will probably end up with no fish tank if he/she follows your advice.

The parents actually have a good thing going on by making the tank a reward. I would do the same thing if I have my own kids.
