Unfortunately, not too many people like to post an average feed of their fish. They want to show the brutality for their sick entertainment. While I can admire any predatory fish, I don't find things like this to be appealing to me.
i have to also agree with collin
i had a micro that was, what can only be discribet as, nasty and evil
not a fish for inexperienced ppl but experts with big tanks and i'm not talking 6x3x2
in micro terms thats a puddle
Fish that want to eat something thats too big/too dangerous aim for the tail. I saw it on a small scale yesterday in sheepshead bay. A couple Ccktail Bluefish chasing a baitfish. It hit the water and all of a sudden stopped moving and started spiraling. Obviousely it got hit by a Bluefish between jumps. The tail is the main method of escape, so, naturally, predators aim for that. That Snkehead was waiting for the Lobster to become immobile so the claws/legs couldn't choke the fish.
Snakeheads are no more "evil" than a Mosquitofish eating a mosquito larvae. The goal is to gain energy (by eating) and loose as little energy and less injury as possible.

Me neither. My main concern for not doing it though is not the brutality but water quality implication. I prefer feeders or whatever swollen whole so no mess after (that said, for me the time taken to swallow the prey is not an issue e.g. i have fed eels to alligator gars, large catfish (spines removed) to jardini etc.... kinda like watching a snake feed (except that snake is substituted with a fish ... Anyway feeding oversized things in com tanks does not work (i guess fish feel vulnerable while they are swallowing large things)... in lone set-ups this is quite different. Silver aros and jars are the best for this. RTC just gulps everything like a vaccum, paimas and bichir do not accept oversized things (and neither do gars).
PS: i do not feed mice nor ducklings (again not because of brutality but because of claws and potential health consequences).
