Its more like saying silvers get to 5-6'. I've seen silvers in public aquariums that would be over 3', and I'm sure they could get close to 4', but that would be a pretty extreme case, probably equivalent to a solid 12" loach.

Find me a pic of an actual 13' and I'll be impressed. The largest wild capture (recorded) is 2.8 meters, or about 9 feet.

There i can prove you wrong because i have 9 arapaimas and 5 are bigger than 2.8 meters and here a pic right under but not all nine are shown but will tommorrow i hope and if anyone who is wondering the size of the old pool it is 10 by 20 meters

OMG they are HUGE!
One day I would love to own a pond that would be large enough to keep a couple A. Gigas , it is on my bucket list !

Im gonna say your highly right but they apparently can get to 15 feet.. i wouldd like to say that is probably in the wild back in the day..huh?
