me being an arizonian too, i am whining with you, if fw stingrays (from south america) were legal, i'd have 30 tanks full of them lol, the stingrays pets inc has had were brackish water florida rays, completely legal in az, just brackish:(:(:(:cry::cry:

we should put a petition together to get gars and fw stingrays legal again:nilly::nilly::nilly::headbang2:headbang2

or we could do this to the people whom caused them to be banned:nutkick: lol

I am all for that, I don't know that any have ever been found in our waterways. I hear of the stray piranha popping up here and there but never a stingray. I guess they could have the potential to make it into the waterways but I doubt they would live through a winter, all the lakes and streams get well below 60 degrees.

It's not like we have any native species here in the desert for an exotic to wipe out anyway. All the native fish are gone. or in such remote locations a stingray or piranha couldn't get to them. I think the reason they are banned is general public hysteria.
