Armatus and GATF Compatibility

not saying that you should try this but a friend grew out 2 14"armatus and a 13" gatf in a 75gal...:D
 
He has money so tank size isn't an issue. Lets say 10X4X3? So it would be a good idea to raise the gatf first until it reaches a decent size then get the Armatus. What about dithers would that keep the Armatus from trying to kill the GATF. Plus I have seen pics of GATF and when large it is hard to believe that anything would mess with one.
 
i think they will both get to the 30'' mark or better in aquaria.

So i would go with a 5' wide or larger.


If he wants to take the guess work out of it tell him 12x6x3.
 
It will be fine for a LONG time.. But in the long run Armatus will be food for the Goliath. If he's in the correct tank. And not stunted.. The full grown sizes are not even close.. From what i've seen read ect... Armatus owns when smaller larger the Goliath own's.. But from 12-20'' It should be fine.. Agin JMO
 
BigJ-I thought they would get pretty much the same size-and tank size is not a worry at all. Guys got money he already has ponds for Gar and a large pjredatory Characin tank-so another large tank for him is not a big deal.

Time will tell. But his tank's seem more than good.. GL brother! ;)
