No joke my Armatus ate a large prawn last night. He had not eaten in 3 days. He only took 1 of the 3 I offered to my big tiretrack.I'm sure he thought it was a live fish and grabbed the first one in the tank. It was cool to see.He just turned towards the second and third.Tricked him out.

sweet! thats how its done... trick the little guys.

ive had mine on shrimp for a few weeks now and its great on my wallet. the only thing is his color is starting to fade.

congrats, how big is he now? any recent pics?

Prawn? Damnit! More food I can't find around here.

Mine has developed a taste for the stingray's nightcrawlers.

So goldfish yield better color than shrimp?

they must, his black on his tail is fading.

i got him to eat a smelt the other day but he dosnt like them.

what is a prawn?

This is good input.Nice to hear other foods that have been accepted. That's really strange how the color is fading due to a better food. I would like to get mine off goldfish too as it's getting expensive at 6.00 a crack. He has downed a 5incher, unreal what they can swollow. He is currently at 13" and most recent pic is this.

dang he looks clean! keep tryin to get him off live it helps the wallet. i was paying about 6 bucks a day to feed my guy.

i dont thing he is getting as many nutrients in his shrimp. maybe if i can get him on smelt and some other foods, he will get his color back.

so what is a prawn?

Vamptrev, stuff a high quality pellet in the shrimp...that is what I did and his color was awesome!

good idea! i was doing this b4, tryin to get the stuff to float.

the only prob is my rays didnt like the pellets if fang didnt eat the shrimp it would go uneaten. no biggie, ill just have to scoop it out.
