There are large armatus for sale 18inch ones owners have grown out, handful coming out of taiwan. 1500-2000USD, no gurantee live arrival ... in any case this is just too big, as ultimately would want to cohab these with the current stock, of which largest is 12inch, smallest 5inch. an 18inch armatus would erase lots of effort and resources in no time.
They may be harder to find in their areas of collection,I always heard that the high end stuff gets shipped to your part of the world first so I figured there must be some problem if there arent any in your area besides the growouts that you mentioned.The beauties that you have will definately wind up as food if you add one of those brutes.
i think the distributors are giving priority to the channels that offer the highest return. Japan fishkeeping culture pays high dollar, taiwan also. Appears the US has them aswell. my guess is demand for this genre of fish in volume terms may not be large enough for Hong Kong. From what I know there are only 2-3 main collection centers that distribute to the entire strip.

My LFS got there shipment today and I'm going tomorrow and I've got a very good feeling they have some payara, They get tonnes of em, And around now is when they said they get Tat's and Armatus.
