Well, not completely sure but I think this one made it 3 years. Much better then the ones in the past BUT still obviously not anywhere near full potential.

Wish I could understand why the hell I have such bad luck with these things.

I'm stuck away from home for the rest of the week. Stacy (girlfriend) just got done putting him down in an ice chest. Was brutalized a few days ago by the other one. Not sure if it's because I've had a divider in the tank for too long or what but overnight it looked like he was hit with a weed eater. Gashes everywhere. Swam stupid for half a week and finally got to the point of darting around upside down so decided to put it down.

Lost for words. Been a long time since loosing a fish hurt this bad. 3 Wolves and an Armatus already this year.

Wonder if this is a sign? Maybe time for a toothy fish break. :(

Soooo friggin bummed...... :(

Sorry for the loss DB!

Sorry to hear for sure. It's sort of scary that even you are becoming weary of the teeth.

Part that makes me the most upset is this one's all on me. I have other tanks. I could have just moved him..... The aggressor is flawless. He had always been the alpha. Just snapped one night. I don't believe any of the other fish were capable of slices like there was, but I need to get some pics so you guys can see if you agree with me.... Maybe it was something else?

You loose so many fish then you can't help but start questioning things.... Sucks.

It is really neat to have a forum like this though, we all get to timeline our experiences.

I wonder if it's just room? Maybe we do need swimming pool sized tanks?

The cooler is pretty good sized...... Will have to measure once I get home.

Most of the wounds were on his back in front of the dorsal.

Stacy said 10lbs but sounds fishy.... lol

Sorry for your loss for sure.

What's the longest anyone has kept one?

Oh and by the way, yes I think everyone should have swimming pool sized tanks. If they don't want to stock it we can all help them out right?

That photo takes me back to when my boy took his banzai and fought for two days before he finally died.....at least there was no scomb like mystery and you know what yours died from.

No, that mystery will be saved for the alpha.... Unless someone takes him out. Pretty scary thought to think it may be possible... lol

I only made it half the record..... Fc3's was 6+ years old.

Bummer to lose such a nice fish. I've been talking tonight about an armatus.
