i thought armatus are scaleless fish? was told so by another member.

LoL no, they are a characin, all characins have scales. The scales are very small and delicate however. Even if you net one you can see what looks like glitter in the net after it dries if you dont rinse it first. That is the scales the armatus lost.

He is not looking to good this morning. My water parameters are perfect. I saw my motoro and bichir's messing with him.....damn them. I think they rough him up pretty good overnite while he was in a bit of shock from transport. Rather than stress him out further by removing from the tank - I quarantined him within the 265. I really hope he recovers. Are they notoriously delicate shippers?

Yeah pretty delicate.. Hope he recovers.. :(

Tonight he is still hangin in there but looks real weak. No swimming at all. Breathing is not labored though. His fins are a bit ragged and a white coating of slime is beggining to develop in a couple areas. I think the ray did quite a job on him. It's not lookin good by any means. Salt , stress coat, prime, aeration in place - hoping for the best at this point

Ahhhh man this sux..... I am glad you got everything in place already.....So far just so ya know they never seemed to active. I know I have them in a small tank for now, but still they pretty much just hung out in the same spot. I would say if breathing isn't too labored then he should be ok.
