Armatus Dithers

Half dozen Balas introduced around noon. All gone the next morning. They seem to like the Hujeta...... Will try to find some decent sized tinfoils.

Im ganna try some tin foils and Flag tails (Flags just to grow out, then into another tank)

Whatever fish you want to add with the Armatus, make sure they don't look like feeders to the Armatus. If fish fit their mouth, you can kiss 'em good bye

Be advised that Flagtail ain't no pussy cat. My 6" Flagtail used to suck on the Armatus and GATF all day long . I moved it to my other tank with the datnoids, and he was dead meat

X2 on the Flagtails. I sold both mine after they started harrassin my 1st Armatus. Suckers are mean. The Balas were bought as dithers.... I just thought they'de last a lot longer....LOL Gonna have to find some big tinfoils. Rather they beat up on the Tinfoils then eachother.

Try SDs. I had a 3" SD in with my 12" armatus and he never killed it, though he was pretty jacked. On three seperate occasions he got impaled completly through his body but it never killed him and he acted perfectly normal!

Maybe try a banded leoprinus they get big and are yellow and black. I know alot of the guys with big cichlids use them as dithers sometimes.
