hmm....?>? if the scales started falling off after the meds, it eems to have really irritated him....I can only suggest a tank with new water, salt at half the recommended dose, jack up the temp to the high 80's and lots and lots of aeration. If he for whatever reason looks like he might be getting an infection get a little meth blue... Can you tell I like the old school treatments to a bunch of chemicals. Wish you the best man, its heartbreaking to see this with your armatus..is he eating at all?? becaus eif he is you can gutload a feeder with some medicated food before feeding it to the Armatus...

I dont know if its just because of a bad reaction to some stuff I just wanted to test on him (bifran sp) but I used that on him when I first saw little signs of scale loss... then a few days after it was like this 10x's worse...Any tips on what kind of cheap meds I can use? like melafix/pimafix?
or what? I am getting a buble wall tomorow for more oxygenation..
But does this look bad? Can he make a full recovery after this?

I am a noob to this stuff, never lost a fish before or had one get sick...:nilly:

If it was me I would quit the salt, and add melafix, and do water changes every couple days.

No, not swim bladder... Look like the medicine messed him up big... Some sort of brain damage, and I'm not joking. If you have another tank that you have not add that medicine to, move him there. Otherwise, do 25% water change, and put some active carbon to remove the medicine or whatever toxic that mixed in the water. Make sure you have carbon in a mesh bag, and wash it real good to rinse off the residue. Get him out of the sump. That's not a good place to keep a fish. Good luck bro. He so nice, and it's a shame to see him goes down.
