ARMATUS FEEDING (PLAYING WITH FROZEN SHRIMP)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I can't see the video but my Rhaphs hold on to a feeder for a while and wait till it stops wriggling, then it moves the feeder so I can eat it head first.
BTW, I'm not sure armatus eat shrimp in the wild at all, probably this turns him off a lil'?

Thats what I was thinking.

He hits the shrimp out of aggression and hunger. And then is like wtf is this in my mouth. lol But eventually eats it because of starvation.

LOL!
I'm not sure shrimp is the best food for them. Might want to stick to fish.

he will not eat smelt, and i do not want to feed feeders, he will sometimes gulp it right down and sometimes play with it.

Oh, I see, well I guess it's ok but I suggest you continue weaning him to eat smelt.

many hydrolycus ive owned did that sometimes, and sometimes eat it greedily.
sweet armatus!

i use to think he did it because of the shell of the shrimp, so i started de-shelling them.

Sometimes he will gulp the pieces right down too.
